My time at the Bihar School of Yoga was one of deep discipline and inner transformation. I spent three months living in the ashram, fully immersed in the traditional yogic lifestyle. Days began before sunrise, often in silence, and were filled with sadhana (spiritual practice), karma yoga (selfless service), and deep study of yogic philosophy and scriptures. We practiced not just asanas and pranayama, but also trataka, yoga nidra, mantra chanting, and meditative silence.

The environment was intentionally austere—no phones, no distractions—just space to go inward. Every activity, from cleaning to cooking to walking, became a form of mindfulness. The teachings weren’t academic; they were experiential. I learned how to observe myself, how to be with discomfort, and how to live yoga—not just practice it. It wasn’t always easy, but it was powerful. That time reshaped my mindset, deepened my inner stability, and showed me what it means to truly live with awareness.
